Dear Valued Customer,
During my travels to various countries, I got a chance to speak with many of you. Often, the feeling that I got is that what you would really like in digital photography is to get back to what the feeling was like 20 years ago when shooting to film.
With film, there was a rhythm!
You were interacting with the subject, whether a product or a model, and you were taking a picture, then winding the film, and taking another shot.
It was like music! CHIT-CHAT, CLIK-CLAK, CHIT-CHAT.
And that feeling was lost.
This was for various reasons, but for many out there, it was because the process of getting the shot simply took longer. When digital backs came out, the rhythm was broken.
We improved those first digital backs from 1MP to 6MP, and kept adding more and more megapixels.
We wanted to go faster, but at the same time we were adding more data to the images. The rhythm never returned to what we had in the film days.
I've been told that the Valeo 22 brought back some of that rhythm.
When I started showing our new Aptus 54S, I heard from many that this really brought the old feeling back. Since then we've shipped many more, and so now we can say that it’s finally here: the product that brings back that rhythm.
Until next month,
